What I Owe You
This is a list,
Of what to expect.
From me to you,
With love and respect.
I owe you an ear,
To listen to your words.
I owe you my eyes,
To see the real you.
I owe you a voice,
To speak out for you.
I owe you my legs,
To stand up for you.
I owe you a shoulder,
A place of tears.
I owe you a hug
To relieve your fears
I owe you a hand,
To hold out in need.
I owe you kindness,
An act of good deed.
I owe you my fingers,
Something to count on.
I owe you my advice,
That you can depend on.
I owe you respect,
The same you’ve shown me.
I owe you trust,
That, I guarantee.
I owe you knowledge,
For what we taught each other.
I owe you love,
I mean, love like a brother.
I owe you a friend,
Who is honest and true.
I owe you my life,
Because of what you still do.
