Elite Essay: The Individual or the group?

A cake cannot be made with just one ingredient. There needs to be many individual components added to it to create it. That is why I believe that the group is more important than the individual. By having many people working together, we can perform tasks that one person cannot, we have access to a wider range of talents and abilities, and we can make the best decisions that are right for everyone.
First, a single person cannot construct an entire building by himself, but a team of people can. Groups can accomplish goals faster and more effectively than someone working alone. This is because; one individual cannot work at various places at once. For example, a construction crew might have a few people work on the design of the structure, while others could begin constructing the building. This cannot be done by one individual because they are limited only to him or herself.
Next, a person is merely limited to his or her own abilities and talents. On the other hand, a group can access all of their members’ skills and strengths. One individual can be artistic and creative, while the other can be inventive and intelligent. By having an access to a wider range of talents, and combining them, tasks can be completed faster and problems can be easily solved as well. The individual will struggle to keep up as the group charges past the rest.
If you look at our country, it is made up of groups. The fifty states of America all work together to make decisions by voting on them. By getting the majority to agree or disagree on a subject, the government can make the best decision that will be favored by everyone. One individual’s opinion is not as appealing as an entire group’s opinion. By having a committee of people deciding on what is a better decision, it will give you a sense of what the majority of everybody desires. Furthermore, because our country makes choices by allowing the public to decide, we have a more just government than various other countries. On the contrary, places that have dictators, where one person makes all the decisions, have a much more unreasonable government.
The group is more vital than the individual person. When many come together as one, the result is a larger power than a single man or woman. Look around, companies, sports teams, government committees, groups are everywhere. Successful businesses are not made up of one person. They are made up of many different people who bring different ingredients to the table.

thanks, i wrote it a while ago and just copy and pasted it. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided, "hey, why not post my essay?" and that's how the lost it's tail...

I do one as an assignment for elite acadamy. and i usually write a chapter or two in my novel.
