Characters - a person, animal, or thing in a story or novel.
-protagonist is the main character.
-antagonist is the opponent or adversary.
Main Conflict - The problem that the main character faces.
-Man vs Man: a character struggles against another character. (external)
-Man vs Self: a character struggles with personal feelings, values, or needs. (internal)
-Man vs Society: a character struggles against a group/society. (external)
-Man vs Nature: a character struggles against a force of nature. (external)
Plot - the flow of events in a story.
Point of View - the perspective or vantage point from which the story is told.
-first person is when a chracter tells the story with a limited point of view.
-third person is when a voice outside tells the story with a omniscient point of view.
Climax - the higest point of interest in a story.
Resolution - when the conflict is resolved.
Denouement - the tying up of loose ends in a story.
Theme - the underlying principle, idea, or insight of the story.
**** - reverting to the past.
Foreshadowing - the use of hints to suggest future events.
Irony - the opposite of what you expect to happen.
Symbol - any object, person, place, or action that stand for something else.
